HRF's Wellbeing Watch research program commenced in 2006. It aims to assess quality of life in the Hunter, explain trends in how people live and provide an understanding of the influences on wellbeing and how regional wellbeing can be improved. This project is unique in regional Australia and builds upon the HRF's existing research and in particular its economic indicators.
Wellbeing Watch is based on the results from a large telephone survey of households conducted every two years. HRF researchers are also members of the Australian Community Indicators’ Network (ACIN) - a peak body of community and social researchers attempting to define national standards
