Professor Doyle has had an exceptional career in large corporations, which has spanned more than three decades. She has a PhD in Mathematics and Statistics. In 1993 she was Australia's first Fulbright Scholar in Business Management. She completed an International General Management Program at Columbia University in New York.
Professor Doyle had an executive career in the steel and building materials industries; she was Chairman of Port Waratah Coal Services from 1998 until 2009 and a Director of OneSteel, GPT and Boral.
Professor Doyle is a professional company director. She is a director of OilSearch, NEXTDC, SWOOP Analytics, Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure, and is a member of Council for the University of Newcastle and Women in MBA (WiMBA) program patron. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
Professor Doyle served on the Hunter Research Foundation (HRF) Board for over 25 years including 18 years as Chairman, and the HRF Centre Advisory Board since 2017.
