The Hunter economy, like that of the nation, is increasingly looking to the services sector for jobs and economic growth
For the Hunter to not only survive into the future but also to thrive, it must remain regionally competitive.
The services sector is growing in developed economies, with increasing employment and value-add. In the Hunter, services provide approximately 60% of employment and 45% of economic value created.
This 2015 project focussed on the dynamics, opportunities and constraints for growing the high value-add Professional Services Sector and the role in improving the Hunter's competitiveness and stimulate jobs growth.
